On the morning of October 24, Mr. Fang Guoqiang, deputy mayor of Changhzou, signed the Letter of Intent on Establishing Sister-city Relationship between Changzhou, China and Essen, Germany, with Mr. Reinhard Paß, mayor of Essen.

Deputy secretary-general Mr. Cai Chuqiu, director of Commerce Bureau Mr. Dai Xiaowen, director of Changzhou FAO Mr. Du Jibin, and deputy director of Changzhou FAO Mr. Du Wenping attended the signing ceremony.
