On December 20th, at the Recognition Conference of National Spiritual Civilization Construction Work held in Beijing, the third batch of National Civilized Cities (Regions) was announced and awarded. Changzhou was classified among the National Civilized Cities.
Mr. Fan Yanqing, Party Secretary of Changzhou Municipal Committee, accepted the recognition on behalf of Changzhou and received the medal of "National Civilized City." This marks Changzhou, along with its rapid economic development, has leapt to a new platform of social welfare and spiritual civilization.
