On the afternoon of February 17, Mr. Fang Guoqiang, vice mayor of Changzhou, met with the consuls general, deputy consuls general and consular officials of 34 countries’ consulates general in Shanghai, including Peru, Russia, Spain, Australia, the United States, etc., and about 60 representatives of relevant agencies.

At the meeting, Fang extended New Year wishes and introduced the economic and social development in Changzhou. He said that in the new year, Changzhou will seize the opportunities such as the construction of southern Jiangsu modernization demonstration area, city-industry integration, new urbanization plan, ecological progress, etc., to improve reform and innovation and expand opening-up scopes, for a sounder economic development, a better environment and better lives for people. He invited all the participating officials to pay more attention to Changzhou and to visit and learn about the city, so as to introduce more friends to Changzhou for travel, study, innovation and entrepreneurship or investment and cooperation, which will create more opportunities for win-win exchanges and cooperation in fields of economy, technology, culture, etc.
