On the morning of April 21, Longview, Washington signed a Letter of Intent with Qishuyan, Changzhou to establish a friendship city relationship.

Longview is a city in Cowlitz County, Washington, United States. It is the principal city of the ‘Longview, Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area,’ which encompasses all of Cowlitz County. Longview's population was 36,648 at the time of the 2010 census and is the largest city in Cowlitz County. Manufacturing in Longview accounts for 19% of the employment and easy access to the Columbia River, Interstate 5, and the west coast railways has attracted a rapidly diversifying manufacturing base.

Qishuyan and Longview have many similarities in industry, culture, education, etc., which will benefit the cooperation and exchanges in the future. The Lower Columbia College campus located in Longview has just signed a cooperation agreement with Changzhou Technical Institute of Tourism and Commerce on April 18, 2014.
