On the morning of October 9, the 16th Overseas Friends of Jiangsu - Overseas Chinese Returning to Visit the Flower Expo was opened in the Flower Expo Park. Mr. Fan Yanqing, Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Provincial CPPCC, and leaders of the Economy & Technology Division of National Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office attended the opening ceremony with more than 500 domestic and overseas guests from over 30 countries and regions.

The Overseas Friends of Jiangsu is an activity initiated by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province. According to incomplete statistics, more than 6,000 overseas Chinese from over 40 countries and regions have participated in this event over the past 15 years, through which a large number of capital, technology, personnel, and advanced management concept have been introduced to Jiangsu.
