On the 18th of January, the 2017 New Year Concert was held in Changzhou Theatre by Changzhou Primary and Middle School Students’ Modern Chinese Orchestra. City leaders Zhang Donghai and Ju Liqin attended the concert.

In the concert, 120 students played nine songs for audience, including the “Spring Festival Suite”, a Chinese orchestral work composed by Li Huanzhi, the traditional hit "Racing Horses", double concerto For erhu And cello “Chrysanthemum Terrace”, etc.

The concert also invited students and teachers from Nanjing University as the co-stars.

Changzhou Primary and Middle School Students’ Modern Chinese Orchestra was established in 2007. The orchestra has took part in many international competitions and shows.
