On the afternoon of September 4, Party Secretary Mr. Yan Li met with the Board Chairman of Lanxee Group (Germany) Doctor Heitmann and his delegation.
　　LANXESS is a world leader in new materials. In 2011, the company achieved sales revenue of EUR 8.775 billion. In 2010, LANXESS invested for the construction of its largest leather products plant in Xinbei District, Changzhou, with the expected annual sales revenue of RMB 1 billion yuan. This time, on the basis of the original cooperation, LANXESS will invest USD 300 million to construct the EPDM project with the annual capacity of 160,000 tons of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM). The project formally laid the foundation today. EPDM is a high-end petrochemical product which needs to be focused on to develop under China's "12th Five-Year Plan.”

　　Furthermore, LANXESS and Changzhou National High-tech District signed a cooperation agreement to invest USD 49.98 million to build the LANXESS (Changzhou) Warehousing and R&D Project.
