Recently, the 19th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th Jiangsu People’s Congress, the province’s legislature, passed a resolution to confer the title of "Honorary Resident of Jiangsu Province" to 10 expats.

One of the winners is Stjepan Kucifer, managing director at MAN Energy Solutions China Production Co., Ltd. in Wujin district, Changzhou.

MAN Energy Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of MAN Diesel & Turbo SE, a company in the Power Engineering business area of MAN SE. It was established in Changzhou in 2007 and it is the first production site outside Europe. As a mechanical engineer with more than 32 years’ experience in engineering, maintenance, manufacturing and management obtained in various countries, Stjepan Kucifer was appointed as managing director at the company in 2012.

In 2013, with growing market share, MAN Diesel & Turbo decided to increase the investment again by 7.5 million euros to have the total investment of 92.5 million euros at its Changzhou facility to extend the corporation’s production capacity and product range. The same year, Kucifer was awarded the title of “Honorary Citizen of Changzhou” in recognition of his significant achievements in business development, as well as his contribution to Changzhou's efforts to develop the open economy and international exchanges in trade and culture.
