On the afternoon of December 18th, the National Calligraphy Forum was opened in the West Taihu Lake Art Gallery in Changzhou. 128 national calligraphy award winners participated in the forum with more than 240 pieces of calligraphy works, including Wang Weijun, Bai He, Liu Yuantang, Li Ming, Xu Youbing, Wang Ke and other famous calligraphers.

Among these calligraphers, nearly 50 of them were awarded the Lanting Award, and 20 of them have won prizes at the National Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Exhibition. Their works not only inherited the essence of traditional calligraphy, but also presented the characteristics of a new era with diverse styles, reflecting the achievements of the contemporary calligraphy art.

The exhibition was co-sponsored by Nanjing Arts Institute, Jiangsu Research Center of Chinese Calligraphy Writing, Changzhou Daily and Changzhou West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park. It will last till January 4th, 2017.
