Between 00:00 and 24:00 of July 5, four new locally transmitted confirmed cases of Covid-19 infection (all in Wuxi) were registered in Jiangsu province. 

Sixty-one symptomless cases (31 in Wuxi, 29 in Xuzhou, and one in Yancheng) were newly reported in the province.

Two inbound symptomless cases were newly reported in Jiangsu.  

Twenty-nine confirmed cases (20 local and nine inbound) were still undergoing treatment at designated hospitals, while 322 asymptomatic carriers (300 local and 22 inbound) were under medical observation in isolation.

As of this update, China's list of virus transmission zones stands at 191 high-risk and 82 medium-risk areas.
