Changzhou Xingyu Automotive Lighting Systems Co., Ltd. and JAKA Robotics Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement on October 16. The partnership will deepen collaboration across three key areas: embodied intelligence innovation, smart manufacturing upgrades, and industrial chain synergies, paving new pathways for integrating AI with automotive and robotics industries.
This collaboration builds on existing technological synergies rather than starting from scratch, focusing on three strategic directions:
First, joint R&D in embodied intelligence, co-developing integrated smart terminals combining perception, lighting, display, projection, and interaction to transcend traditional automotive applications and enable multifunctional smart interfaces.
Second, merging robotics with AI algorithms to accelerate the deployment of embodied intelligence in smart manufacturing, enhancing production efficiency and automation.
Third, sharing technical standards and scenario data to advance domestic breakthroughs in upstream robotics components while fostering downstream innovation, creating a seamless innovation cycle—spanning R&D, real-world validation, and scaled deployment—to drive industrial chain modernization.
Both companies are industry leaders in their fields. Xingyu, China’s top automotive lighting manufacturer and design provider, reported RMB 13.25 billion in 2024 revenue (+29.32% YoY), supplying major global automakers across German, Japanese, and domestic brands. It has spearheaded the transition from conventional lighting to smart vision systems, excelling in HD-ADB headlamps and DLP projection interfaces critical for vehicle-to-road collaboration and smart mobility.
JAKA Robotics, a global pioneer in general-purpose intelligent robotics, serves clients like Toyota, Schneider, CRRC, Luxshare Precision, and Xingyu. Its embodied intelligence portfolio includes the JAKA K1 dual-arm robot and JAKA Kargo wheeled humanoid, supported by the JAKA EVO platform—the world’s first AI-powered industrial robotics OS, enabling scalable embodied AI applications.
The partners affirmed plans to leverage this alliance as a springboard, merging automotive manufacturing with embodied intelligence to fast-track lab-to-factory technology adoption and fuel China’s high-quality smart manufacturing growth.
