Changzhou’s first underground tunnels - Longcheng Boulevard Tunnel, started construction in July 2012, has been progressed smoothly, and the entire tunnel has been initially formed. Currently, the project has entered the final stage, expected to be completed and opened to traffic in September this year.

With a length of 2,253 meters and a width of 80 meters, the Longcheng Blvd. Tunnel will have six lanes, two-way traffic. By then, the city’s more than 50 km of elevated highways will become a closed ring.
