Recently, Liyang became the 10th organic agricultural demonstration base, also the only one in Jiangsuprovince. The Liyang white tea has the unique growing conditions, and the industry scale has been expanded. In March 2011, the city focused on the white tea to build a national organic agriculture demonstration base. According to statistics, in 2012, the plant area ofTianmuLakewhite tea reached 11,000 mu, covering more than 10,000 farm households. The yield of organic white tea reached 128 tons, and the sales revenue achieved 320 million yuan. In addition,TianmuhuLakewhite tea received geographic landmark registration protection for national agricultural products.
