From January to May, Changzhou’s solar photovoltaic (PV) industry reached a gross output of 39.948 billion yuan, representing an increase of 35.4 percent compared to the same five months last year.

Changzhou is home to a large number of outstanding enterprises in the PV industry, including crystalline silicon (c-Si) PV cell and module manufacturers such as Trina Solar, Risen Energy, and Seraphim Energy, and suppliers of specialty materials such as Almaden, Yuxing Film Technology, and Jiangsu Sveck, as well as equipment manufacturers such as S.C Smart Equipment.
