Recently, the projects granted the Sports Development Fund of Jiangsu Province in 2014 were announced, among which Changzhou has a total of 15 programs receiving fund of 10.8 million yuan, ranking first in Jiangsu.

The Sports Development Fund of Jiangsu was set up in 2011 for the purpose of promoting a sustainable development of the province’s sports industry. This year, the fund has been increased from 80 million yuan to 100 million yuan over last year, specially provided for large stadiums, public fitness centers, idle facilities to be renovated into sports venues, youth and amateur sports training programs, etc.

Since 2011, a total of 31 projects in Changzhou have received 20 million yuan from this fund, bringing about 130 million investment and more than 2,000 jobs.
