The construction of the largest inland port in Changzhou - Jintan Port was started in December 2013. The first-phase project will be completed in the end of August and the port will start a trial operation by then.
The newly-built Jintan Port, totally invested with 467 million yuan, is located in the Dan-Jin-Li-Cao River. It has 15 berths, including seven 1000-ton berths and eight 500-ton berths. The designed throughput capacity is 5.62 million ton per year.
